vivo X Fold5 now official in PH: Lightweight foldable, up to 8.03-inch display, 50MP camera with ZEISS lens, PHP 109,999

After seeing its official price earlier this month, the vivo X Fold5 is now available in the Philippines.

As per vivo, this marks their first foldable smartphone in Southeast Asia.

Among the vivo X Fold5's standout features is its lightweight body with just 217 grams. It also boasts a 4.3mm thickness when unfolded and 9.7mm when folded.

It carries a triple IP rating of IPX8, IPX9, and IPX9+ for enhanced durability.

The durable features

vivo states that the device incorporates an aerospace-grade hinge designed to endure up to 600,000 folds, ensuring long-term reliability. Additionally, the company claims the phone can withstand extreme cold temperatures as low as -20°C.

It features an 8.03-inch AMOLED main screen with 2K 2480 x 2200 resolution, 1-120Hz LTPO refresh rate, and 4,500 peak brightness.

On the other hand, the cover screen uses a 6.53-inch FHD+ 2748 x 1172 resolution, 1-120Hz LTPO refresh rate, 5,500 nits peak brightness, and Armor Glass protection.

Inside, the phone is powered by a 3.3GHz 4nm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset paired with an Adreno GPU. It offers up to 16GB of RAM, 512GB of storage, and a 6,000mAh BlueVolt battery with USB-C 80W wired and 40W wireless charging.

For cameras, vivo X Fold 5 boasts a 50MP Sony IMX921 main sensor with OIS + 50MP ultra-wide camera + 50MP IMX882 3x periscope telephoto sensor with up to 100x digital zoom. 

The camera system incorporates ZEISS optics, offering Pro-grade portrait modes, macro capabilities, and enhanced low-light performance. Both displays feature 20MP selfie cameras.   

Meanwhile, both the inner and outer displays feature 20MP selfie cameras.

The rest mentioned are stereo speakers and a side-mounted fingerprint sensor. 

Connectivity-wise, the foldable has WiFi 6, 5G, 4G, Bluetooth 5.4, GPS with NavIC support, NFC, and dual SIM.

For OS, the vivo X Fold 5 runs Android 15 with Funtouch OS out of the box.
