HONOR Magic V Flip 2 confirmed to sport 5,500mAh battery and up to 350K folds

HONOR confirms some key highlights of its upcoming compact foldable known as the Magic V Flip 2.

Durable + big battery flip soon?

HONOR is set to announce the Magic V Flip 2 in the coming days and has been building anticipation through posts on Weibo. The company has emphasized the device’s durable UTG (Ultra Thin Glass) display, along with its battery and charging capabilities.

In its teaser, HONOR highlighted the use of UTG technology for the flexible OLED panel, which it claims can endure 350,000 folds—equivalent to at least five years of normal use.

According to the company, even after this stress test, the display’s crease remains under 50µm. While UTG is not a new technology in foldable smartphones, Samsung’s early foldables already featured it. HONOR has not specified any unique improvements on the said technology.

Recent leaks suggest the device will include a 200MP + 50MP camera setup, a 5,500 mAh battery, and 80W wired fast charging. 

Today’s teaser also confirms the large battery and wired charging speeds while also revealing support for 50W wireless fast charging.

The official launch is expected to provide further details on the device’s features and specifications.
