Apart from the Pad 9 Pro Max, Xiaomi has introduced two new tablets, the Xiaomi Pad 9 and the Xiaomi Pad 9 Pro.

Xiaomi Pad 9 Series are now official
The two models share a similar design language but differ in size and available colors. The Pad 9 measures 251.2 x 173.42 x 5.75/5.8mm and weighs between 485g and 494g, and comes in Green, Pink, Gray, and Black.
Meanwhile, the larger Pad 9 Pro measures 279.14 x 191.96 x 5.8/5.85mm, weighs between 580g and 589g, and is offered in Green, Gray, and Black, without the pink option.
The regular model features an 11.2-inch display, while the Pad 9 Pro has a larger 12.5-inch screen.

Both use the same 3.2K LCD panel with a 3200 x 2136 pixel resolution, a 144Hz refresh rate, a 3:2 aspect ratio, 12-bit color depth, HDR10, HDR Vivid, and Dolby Vision support. Both tablets also support wet-touch input, a feature more commonly found on smartphones.
Performance is where the two diverge more significantly. The Pad 9 Pro is powered by Qualcomm's Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 chipset paired with an Adreno 829 GPU, while the standard Pad 9 uses the sub-flagship Snapdragon 8s Gen 4 chipset with an Adreno 825 GPU.

Both are offered with 8GB or 12GB of RAM, though the Pro variant adds a 16GB configuration. Storage options are identical across both models, with 128GB (UFS 3.1) or 256GB (UFS 4.1) of non-expandable internal storage.
Battery capacity also scales with screen size. The Pad 9 Pro packs an 11,000mAh battery with 67W wired charging, while the Pad 9 carries a 9,720mAh battery with 45W wired charging. Both tablets support 22.5W reverse wired charging.
On the camera front, the Pad 9 Pro is equipped with a 50-megapixel rear camera and a 32-megapixel front camera, while the Pad 9 comes with more modest 50-megapixel rear and 13-megapixel front sensors.
Both tablets include stereo speakers and can be paired with an optional keyboard case and stylus.
For connectivity, both models offer WiFi 7, Bluetooth 6.0, and a USB-C 3.2 Gen 1 port.
Both the Xiaomi Pad 9 and Pad 9 Pro run HyperOS 4.0 based on Android 17.
