HONOR Magic V5 now available for pre-order in PH: 4.2mm thickness, SD8 Elite, and 50+50+64MP triple rear cameras

HONOR Philippines and Silicon Valley surprised the market with the reveal of the Magic V5 pre-order details ahead of the phone's local launch.

Launched in July in China, the HONOR Magic V5 is the brand's flagship foldable with a stunning design and uncompromising spec sheet. The foldable is IP58+59 dust and water resistance rated. It measures 156.8 x 145.9 x 4.2mm when unfolded and weighs 217 grams.

It features a 6.43-inch external OLED screen with 2376 x 1060 resolution and a 7.95-inch inner folding OLED screen with a 2352 x 2172 resolution. Both Panels have a peak brightness of 5,000 nits, a 120Hz refresh rate, and a 4,320Hz PWM Dimming. The external panel is HONOR Anti-Scratch NanoCrystal Shield protected, while the inner screen is HONOR Super Armored Inner Screen protected.

Inside is the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite octa-core processor, Adreno 830 GPU, 16GB RAM, 512GB storage, and a 5,820mAh Li-Po Silicon-Carbon battery with 66W HONOR SuperCharge wired fast charging and 50W Wireless HONOR SuperCharge.

At the back are the 50MP f/1.6 main camera with OIS, a 50MP f/2.0 ultra-wide camera, and a 64MP f/2.5 3x Periscope telephoto camera with OIS and an LED Flash. While the inner and external screens each have a punch hole containing identical 20MP f/2.2 selfie cameras.

Other features include an IR blaster, NFC, WiFi 7, Bluetooth 7, OTG, 5G, 4G, and a fingerprint scanner.

In China, the smartphone starts at CNY 8,999 (around PHP 70.8K)

Currently, there is no word yet on Philippine pricing, but HONOR and Silicon Valley revealed pre-order details. Those who pre-order the HONOR Magic V5 5G at Silicon Valley from August 22 until September 5, 2025, can get FREEBIES worth PHP 18,000. The first 5 customers will get a FREE DJI Neo Drone Camera worth PHP 10,799, while every pre-order customer will get an HONOR Pad X8a worth PHP 7,999.
