A smartphone that doesn't need a SIM

During this time when developers compete to see who has the biggest and smartest, iKKO introduces MindOne, a card-sized smartphone that has the capabilities of a usual smartphone.

So we built something different: a phone that helps you focus, get work done, and stay present in real life. Whether you're looking for a simpler phone for everyday use or a second device that actually adds value — MindOne is here to do more, by doing less, iKKO said.

MindOne features a 4.02-inch tempered glass display, while the pro version has a sapphire glass display and 9H hardness. So, it's like having a smartphone, but only as big as the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 7 unfolded.

The device measures 86 x 72 mm and is only 8.9 mm thin. It also features an 8GB memory with 256GB storage and is powered by a 2,200mAh battery.

For photography, it has a 50MP Sony 1/1.56" sensor with custom OIS and a bright f/1.88 aperture. This camera flips, so it already serves as both the front and rear camera.

For those who want to use a keypad, MindOne has a snap-in expansion case for a QWERTY keypad (similar to other models like Blackberry phones). Also, it has a 3.5 mm headphone jack.

Its unique feature is that it has a built-in global internet, free internet in over 60 regions, and vSIM in over 140 countries. It is GMS certified, runs Android 15, and features iKKO's lightweight iKKO AI OS, made to help you focus and travel light.

Because it has a vSIM system built right into the hardware, no SIM card needed, iKKO said. In many places, vSIM is more stable than eSIM when roaming.

Below are MindOne's connectivity options:

While limited to 4G+, MindOne runs on the MediaTek MT8781 (Helio G99), a platform specifically built by MediaTek for IoT and connectivity-first applications. It’s part of MediaTek’s new vSIM initiative in AI-driven environments.

The chip is optimized for low power consumption, stable connectivity, and global roaming — exactly what our 'always-connected' MindOne experience is designed for, iKKO said.

iKKO is still accepting backing for MindOne via Kickstarter, with USD 1.11 million or around PHP 62 million from 2,567 backers so far.

  • MindOne - USD 389 or around PHP 22,000
  • MindOne Pro - USD 499 or around PHP 28,000 (but currently available at a discounted price of USD 369 or around PHP 20,000)

iKKO said it is launching the Pro model first via Kickstarter, where its journey in developing the device started.

MindOne is available in Jet Black and Pearl White colors, but backers can also choose between Blush Pink and Sky Blue after the post-campaign survey.

The add-on accessories are also available at a discount:

  • Snap-in expansion case - USD 79 (around PHP 4,400)
  • Extra protective case - USD 15 (around PHP 850)
  • 3 pcs of extra screen protectors - USD 10 (around PHP 560)

Following the tooling and pre-production this month, iKKO will commence mass production and final software integration next month. Global shipping and delivery will begin in November.
