realme has updated its software upgrades for the realme 14 and 15 series, giving the devices another year.

Longer update policy

realme has expanded its software update policy for several devices, including the realme 15 and 15 Pro from the 15 series, as well as the realme 14T, 14 Pro, and 14 Pro+ from the 14 series.

These models will now receive three major Android OS updates and four years of security patches, aligning with the support offered for the realme GT series. Initially, they were promised only two Android updates and three years of security updates.

All affected devices launched with Android 15 and will now be supported up to Android 18, with security updates continuing until 2028. However, the realme 14x is not included in this new policy.

Francis Wong, a representative from realme, stated that the extended update commitment will also apply to future Number Pro, Number, and Number T series devices. He added that details regarding the P Series will be announced at a later date.

To recap, the highlight model realme 15 Pro 5G uses a 6.8-inch AMOLED screen with 1.5K resolution and 144Hz refresh rate, a 4nm Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 octa-core chip, 12GB RAM, and up to 512GB storage options.

For the battery, it uses a 7,000mAh capacity and charges using 80W SUPERVOOC.

In the camera department, it uses a 50MP Sony IMX882 with OIS + 8MP ultra-wide LED flash.

Meanwhile, the realme 14 Pro+ 5G uses a 6.83-inch 1.5K OLED with a 120Hz refresh rate, 4nm Snapdragon 7s Gen 3, 12GB RAM + 256GB/512GB storage, 6,000mAh battery with 80W SUPERVOOC.

For cameras, it has a 50MP f/1.88 1/1.56-inch Sony IMX896 main sensor and OIS, + 8MP f/2.2 ultra-wide camera, + 50MP f/2.65 3x periscope camera with a Sony IMX882 sensor and an LED flash.
