OPPO A6 Pro launched: Durable build, Dimensity 7300, 7,000mAh battery

OPPO introduces a new device with enhanced build quality, a very large battery, and a capable chip.

Massive battery + sturdy build

The new device, called OPPO A6 Pro, features an improved drop resistance that can survive up to 2.5-meter falls or continuous drops of 1.5 meters. 

The brand made it possible by using an aviation-grade aluminum frame and the Crystal Shield Glass for its display, thus enhancing its resistance by 160 percent from the predecessor.

Moreover, it also boasts a triple IP rating of IPP66/IP68 and IP69, making it able to survive 1.5 meters under water for 30 minutes and 8,000KPa of hot water pressure.

At the back, it features three design colorways: Gold, Blue, and Black Jade. It also measures at 7.96mm with a thin frame despite having a huge battery inside.

The features

In front, the phone uses a 6.57-inch OLED with FHD+ 2372 x 1080 resolution, 120Hz refresh rate, and 1,400 nits peak brightness.

Inside, it is powered by the 2.5GHz 4nm Dimensity 7300 chip paired with 8GB/12GB/16GB RAM and 256GB/512GB memory configurations.

OPPO also entered the 7,000mAh battery game with this device and added an 80W USB-C SUPERVOOC fast charging support.

For cameras, it uses a 50MP + 2MP rear setup and a 16MP sensor for selfies or video conferences.

The rest mentioned are stereo speakers, WiFi6, 5G, 4G, Bluetooth 5.4, GPS, NFC, IR Blaster, and dual SIM support.

For OS, it runs on Android 15 with ColorOS 15 skin on top.

The phone is now available for pre-order in China, while shipping begins on September 12. No word yet for a PH release at the moment.
