HUAWEI Watch Ultimate 2 now in PH, starts at PHP 44,999 with FreeBuds Pro 4

The watch's design

HUAWEI Watch Ultimate 2 arrives in PH

To recap, HUAWEI states that the Watch Ultimate 2 is the first smartwatch in the industry rated for dives up to 150 meters.

The device also features a sonar-based underwater messaging system, allowing for communication between watches at distances of up to 30 meters and the transmission of SOS signals from up to 60 meters away.

The display and UI

The watch is built with an octagonal case made of Liquid Metal, designed to be rugged yet lightweight. It also includes a ceramic bezel, sapphire glass, and a 1.5-inch LTPO display that reaches a peak brightness of 3,500 nits.

For diving, real-time data such as No-Decompression Limit (NDL), oxygen partial pressure (PO2), and depth is displayed on the watch. Post-dive logs can be accessed through a companion app.

Connectivity features consist of a smart antenna system, eSIM support, and the Sunflower GNSS for location tracking, which is designed for use in an Expedition Mode.

Additional functionalities include access to over 17,000 golf course maps, Smart Gestures for touchless control, and QR code and NFC scanning. The watch also supports AI-powered call features. For health monitoring, an upgraded TruSense system with X-TAP technology is reported to provide a full Health Glance assessment in 60 seconds.

Battery life is listed as lasting up to 11 days with light use and power-saving settings enabled, though duration varies depending on the mode.
