REDMAGIC 16 Pro Gaming Laptop: 300Hz 2.5K screen, Intel Core Ultra 9, up to RTX 5090 GPU

Apart from the REDMAGIC 11 Pro series, the nubia sub-brand has also introduced the REDMAGIC 16 Pro gaming laptop.

The REDMAGIC 16 Pro's design

For serious gaming

The device's design features a tempered aluminum-silica glass panel on the C-side, treated with a quasi-molecular coating for protection against scratches, fingerprints, and general wear. The laptop also incorporates customizable RGB lighting zones on the touchpad, rear keys, and side sections.

The screen features

For its display, the REDMAGIC 16 Pro is equipped with a 16-inch MagicCloud Ultra Competition Screen 2.0. This panel offers a 2560 x 1600 resolution, a 300Hz refresh rate, and a 4ms GTG response time, targeting sharp and fluid visual performance.

At its core, the laptop is powered by the Intel Core Ultra 9-275HX processor, which features 24 cores and 24 threads and can reach speeds of up to 5.4GHz. 

The company states this processor provides up to 40 percent higher performance than the 14th-generation HX series and supports Intel APO optimization. 

Users can choose from NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5090, RTX 5080, or RTX 5070 Ti GPUs for graphics. Memory and storage configurations support up to 64GB of RAM and 2TB of SSD storage.

The cooling tech

The laptop's thermal management, branded as MagicCool 2.0, utilizes a combination of 3D Ice Composite Heat Pipes 2.0, VC heat spreaders, and phase-change materials. 

A 2+1 3D IceBlade fan setup with vortex fans is reported to increase airflow by 61.5 percent and wind pressure by 94.2 percent to sustain performance under load.

For power, the device houses a 100WHr battery supported by 330W GaN charging technology.

Connectivity options are comprehensive, including Thunderbolt 5, a 2.5G LAN port, HDMI 2.1 FRL, and three USB-A ports, facilitating high-speed data transfer and multiple display connections.

Finally, the laptop runs on the RED MAGIC OS and features the Top Player System for switching between performance modes and the MORA AI assistant, which offers voice control, in-game support, and assistance with basic tasks.

It's currently available in China. There's no word yet if it will come to the Philippines at the moment.
