HONOR claims the X7d is the perfect companion for long rides

HONOR says, for those who frequently take long motor rides, a durable smartphone is often a priority. Such trips can involve exposure to the elements and the potential for accidental drops. That's where the HONOR X7d comes in.

To recap, the HONOR X7d is a device marketed for its durability and AI features. The phone has also recently gained online attention through viral water-resistance challenge videos.

Durability and Water Resistance

Among the key features of the HONOR X7d is its drop protection, which has received a Premium Performance Certification for Drop and Crush Resistance from the international testing firm SGS. The phone is rated to withstand drops from up to 1.8 meters. Its design incorporates reinforced corners and a decentralized force structure intended to protect against daily impacts.

The device also carries an IP65 rating for dust and water resistance. This certification indicates protection against low-pressure water jets, making it resistant to washing, rinsing, and water spray.

According to HONOR, the phone has been tested to remain functional after being submerged in 0.5 meters of water for one minute. A wet-hand touch enhancement is also included to allow for screen use with wet or greasy fingers.

Battery Life and AI Features

Furthermore, the HONOR X7d is equipped with a 6,500mAh battery, which the company states is the largest in its price segment and is designed to offer extended battery life reaching up to 2-3 days depending on usage.

The AI Button

HONOR also claimed it is the first smartphone in its class to feature a dedicated AI button. A single click can open a user-customized application or perform system tasks like background cleaning. A long press activates functions such as AI Translation and AI Creation.

Finally, the HONOR X7d is now available nationwide at HONOR Experience and partner stores. It is offered in three color options: Desert Gold, Ocean Cyan, and Velvet Black, with a retail price of PHP 9,999. There's also a more affordable 256GB edition for those who prefer a more budget-friendly model.
