Motorola has announced the global release of the Edge 70, a smartphone initially launched as the Moto X70 Air in China.

The device is distinguished by its 5.99mm profile and a lightweight body of 159 grams. It is available in Pantone-branded colors: Lily Pad, Gadget Grey, and Bronze Green. It features a metal frame and is built to meet military-grade durability standards (MIL-STD-810H). 

Additionally, it has IP68 and IP69 ratings for dust and water resistance.

The Motorola Edge 70 is equipped with a 6.67-inch 1.5K 10-bit pOLED display, featuring a 120Hz refresh rate, a peak brightness of up to 4,500 nits, and protection from Corning Gorilla Glass 7i.

Powering the device is the 2.8GHz 4nm Qualcomm Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 processor, paired with an Adreno 722 GPU. It comes with 12GB of LPDDR5X RAM and 512GB of internal storage.

It houses a 4,800mAh Silicon-Carbon battery that supports USB-C 68W TurboPower wired fast charging and 15W wireless charging.

The rear camera system consists of a 50MP main sensor with OIS and a 50MP 120-degree ultra-wide camera, capable of recording video at up to 4K 30fps. A 50MP front-facing camera is also included for selfies and video calls.

Another mentioned is the stereo speakers with Dolby Atmos support.

Connectivity options include WiFi 6E (2.4GHz/5GHz), 5G SA/NSA, Dual 4G VoLTE, Bluetooth 5.4, GPS, NFC, and a USB Type-C port.

Finally, the Motorola Edge 70 ships with the Android 16 operating system.

The phone is available in the United Kingdom and will come to several European countries and the Middle East starting this week. No word yet if it will come to the Philippines.
