PLDT FIBER ALWAYS ON
|
Smart hybrid modem for continued connection
Even a few seconds of WiFi downtime could already cause so much hassle.
For this service, if the fiber connection goes down, the modem automatically switches to unlimited LTE. Once the fiber is restored, it also automatically switches back.
If your connection has been running on its backup LTE for 30 minutes straight, Always On automatically creates a fault ticket at the customer service channels.
The PLDT Home Always On modem is powered by WiFi 6 technology for internet speeds up to 1 Gbps, depending on the plan.
PLDT Home said the Always On service is beneficial, especially during the rainy season when it would take time to repair major cable troubles.
There is also the issue of cable theft. This disrupts entire neighborhoods, bringing businesses, schools, and remote work to a standstill. There are also local squirrels, usually in villages and even in cities, that chew through fiber cables and cause outages that take time to detect and repair.
Road constructions, drilling, and digging–especially in urban areas–can also accidentally damage underground fiber cables.
PLDT Home Always On works more than an internet backup–it's a smart, seamless solution for a world that can’t afford to pause, the telco said.
