Better memory and privacy for AI
At a recent Google Cloud event in Beijing, the company detailed a strategic roadmap developed in collaboration with Google Cloud. The strategy focuses on "Memory Symbiosis" and "Privacy Protection" as part of an effort to progress toward a more integrated intelligent future.
The essence of AI is understanding the user. Together with Google Cloud, we are shaping OPPO AI into a truly personalized intelligent companion, one that understands, anticipates, and serves users in a powerful yet intuitive way," said Haonan Lu, Head of Large Model Algorithms at OPPO.
He stated that a meaningful AIOS should extend beyond features to adapt fundamentally to individual needs.

| The three main highlights |
Addressing key challenges with system-level AI for integrated services
Despite an expanding array of AI features on devices, users often encounter difficulties with retaining, locating, and anticipating information. OPPO's proposed AIOS aims to address these by integrating memory as a foundational system layer.
To improve information retention, OPPO has globally launched AI Mind Space, described as a "second brain" that organizes information from text, images, and voice.
Developed using Google Gemini, this function is designed to offer personalized responses based on memories stored locally on devices. For information retrieval, OPPO and Google Cloud have enhanced AI Search with improved natural language processing, allowing searches across apps using everyday language.
To anticipate needs, AI Suggest combines real-time on-device context with memory data to build a dynamic user profile, enabling proactive recommendations.
These three functions are linked through privacy measures and the memory storage of AI Mind Space. AI Search uses stored data for local memory searches, while AI Suggest generates recommendations based on user behavior and memory patterns, with measures implemented to secure user data.
Strengthening privacy and supporting an open ecosystem
With AI's growing role in daily use, data privacy remains central to user trust. To provide cloud computing capacity while preserving privacy, OPPO introduced a Private Computing Cloud architecture, functioning as a secure cloud extension of the AIOS.
The system is a globally distributed, end-to-cloud framework that incorporates Google Cloud's Confidential Computing technology, designed to allow data processing without exposing raw data.
OPPO's broader AI strategy is structured around New Computing, New Perception, and New Ecosystem, supported by three technical elements: on-device compute, a PersonaX memory symbiosis engine, and an Agent Matrix framework.
Through open collaboration, OPPO is working to enable interoperability between AI agents across different ecosystems. Its partnership with Google Cloud is cited as an example of this approach, aiming to connect developers and reduce barriers between applications to create a cross-scenario intelligent service network.
