REDMI Turbo 5 Max launched: Dimensity 9500s, 9,000mAh battery, and 50MP Light Fusion 600

REDMI Turbo 5 Max is now official

The Redmi Turbo 5 Max features a fiberglass back panel and a CNC metallic frame. The rear design includes a distinct double-ring turbine light strip. It is offered in 4 color options: Shadow Black, Ocean Blue, Cloud White, and a Sunshine Orange shade. The device carries an IP66/68/69/69K rating for water and dust resistance.

The features

In front, the smartphone is equipped with a 6.83-inch 1.5K OLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate. It boasts a peak brightness of 3,500 nits for outdoor visibility and supports 3840Hz high-frequency PWM dimming alongside DC dimming to reduce flicker. The screen is also compatible with Dolby Vision for HDR content.

Powering the device is the 3.73GHz 3nm MediaTek Dimensity 9500s octa-core chipset with Mali-G925 MC12 GPU. It is paired with up to 16GB of LPDDR5X RAM and up to 512GB of UFS 4.1 storage.

A defining feature is the 9,000mAh battery, among the largest used in a REDMI phone. It supports 100W USB wired HyperCharge and 27W wired reverse charging, allowing the device to function as a power bank for other electronics. Xiaomi claims the battery can provide up to 11 hours and 10 minutes of screen-on time.

The camera system consists of a 50MP Light Fusion 600 main sensor with optical image stabilization (OIS) and electronic image stabilization (EIS), paired with an 8MP ultra-wide-angle lens.

For selfies, it uses a 20MP front-facing camera.

Additional features include stereo speakers, an infrared sensor, and an ultrasonic in-display fingerprint scanner.

Connectivity options comprise WiFi 6, 5G, 4G, Bluetooth 5.4, and NFC.

The device runs HyperOS 3, based on Android 16.
