An Epson printer was used to produce artistry
Urban Label by Maria & Co. has collaborated with Epson Philippines Corporation (EPC) to introduce a textile collection that draws on Filipino cultural heritage, utilizing modern design tools and mindful production methods.
The partnership was facilitated by ES Print Media, Inc., which connected Epson with designer Beatriz Nicole Benadera to develop the collection.
The line focuses on the Waling-Waling flower, known as the Queen of Philippine Flowers and regarded in Filipino culture as a symbol of resilience and beauty. The flower's vivid petals and intricate form are central to garments that combine traditional inspiration with contemporary design.
Designer Beatriz Nicole Benadera took inspiration from Filipino identity across Luzon, Visayas, and Mindanao, using textiles as the main medium for narrative. The designs avoid embellishment, instead emphasizing fabric, print, color, and placement to shape each silhouette.

Epson's SureColor SC-F9430H digital textile printer was used to translate original photographic references of the Waling-Waling into detailed, vivid prints that align with garment construction. Large panels were printed in single outputs to maintain detail and visual continuity across flowing designs.
Epson's long-standing background in precision printing supports its reputation for reliability and innovation. Digital textile printing provides designers with flexibility and control, allowing on-demand production that can reduce material waste and encourage responsible practices.
Working with Epson completely changed my creative process, said Benadera. “It allowed textile design to become part of each garment and shifted my approach from designing around limitations to designing with confidence.
For Epson, the project demonstrates how technology can connect tradition with modern design. Epson has decades of experience in precision printing, said Masako Kusama, Director and President of EPC. Our solutions help designers execute ideas with clarity while supporting mindful production.
The collection represents a movement in Filipino fashion where cultural narrative and contemporary technology create heritage-inspired yet forward-looking pieces.
