Developed in collaboration with Smart, the device's connectivity was assessed under monitored conditions simulating poor network scenarios. Testing included locations with high crowd density and extremely weak signal levels, with Reference Signal Received Power (RSRP) dropping as low as –120 dBm. According to the companies, the device maintained stable connectivity during these evaluations, suggesting readiness for activities such as gaming, social media use, and communication in areas where networks are under strain.
AI LinkBoost 3.0 features
AI LinkBoost 3.0 operates in the background to manage network connections. It is designed to analyze signal strength, network congestion, and real-time usage demands. The system can adapt to changing conditions by prioritizing latency-sensitive tasks like gaming, calls, and live streaming, reallocating bandwidth to maintain performance.
Performance in weak-signal conditions
In extreme weak-signal environments, measured at –110 dBm RSRP and a Signal-to-Noise Ratio (SNR) below –5 dB, the OPPO Reno15 Series 5G recorded downlink speeds of up to 23.02 Mbps and uplink speeds of up to 6.18 Mbps. The company attributes this performance to a combination of antenna design and intelligent network optimization.
Connectivity in crowded and remote Areas
The device's performance was also evaluated in high-load, densely crowded environments, including locations with weak signal, such as the Quezon City Circle Underpass, where RSRP levels dropped as low as –105 dBm.
In these tests, the Reno15 Series demonstrated faster upload performance on platforms like Instagram and TikTok. The Reno15 F 5G recorded an average sending time of 81.14 seconds for large video files of up to 320 MB.
In coastal, mountainous, or remote areas where signals fluctuate, AI LinkBoost 3.0 was observed to support more stable live streaming and social media sharing by adapting to changing network conditions in real time.
Gaming performance under load
The device was tested for gaming performance under high network load and in congested environments with weak signal scenarios ranging from –105 dBm to –110 dBm. During evaluations, the device maintained consistent connectivity to minimize interruptions and packet loss. It also managed data traffic during multitasking scenarios, such as gaming while streaming video, to maintain gameplay responsiveness.

In testing with the game Mobile Legends: Bang Bang, the OPPO Reno15 Series 5G recorded an average latency of 70.74 ms and total lag averaging 39.72 seconds.
Note: OPPO says that test results were obtained under monitored and consistently poor network conditions during joint testing conducted by Smart and OPPO. Actual performance may vary depending on network conditions, signal strength, user environment, and device configuration.
