Samsung S26, S26+ launched in PH: 2nm Exynos 2600, Rich AI features, PHP 58,990 starting price

Apart from the Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra, the brand also introduces the base and plus models in the Philippines.

Almost the same hardware, more focus on software

Both phones feature 4 colorways: Cobalt Violet, White, Black, and Sky Blue. They also have an IP68 dust and water resistance rating.

The base model measures 7.2mm thin and weighs 167 grams, while the Plus variant has 7.3mm and 190 grams.

In front, the display of Galaxy S26 uses a  6.3-inch Dynamic AMOLED 2X screen with FHD+ 2340 x 1080 resolution at 411 ppi and 1-120Hz refresh rate.

The S26+ gets a similar panel but with a bigger 6.7-inch screen and QHD+ resolution. It also shares the same 1-120Hz refresh rate and Vision Booster technology.

Inside, both are powered by the Exynos 2600 chip. This is the 1st 2nm mobile chip in the world featuring 10 cores with up to 3.8GHz max boost clock and Xclipse 960 GPU with Exynos Neural Super Sampling.

Both device features 12GB RAM and 256GB or 512GB storage options.

For the battery, the base S26 uses a 4,300mAh capacity with USB-C 25W fast charging support, Fast Wireless Charging 2.0, and Wireless PowerShare.

Meanwhile, the S26+ hasa  4,900mAh battery with a USB-C 45W fast charger, Super Fast Wireless Charging, and Wireless PowerShare.

Both phones also share the same cameras. They are equipped with a 50MP f/1.8 main camera with OIS, 12MP f/2.2 ultra-wide, and 10MP f/2.4 3x optical zoom.

It goes the same with the selfie camera with a 12MP f/2.2 front sensor.

Samsung takes pride in its advanced security thanks to the Knox Enhanced Encrypted Protection, which encrypts each app's data and Knox Vault for an added physical layer of protection isolating sensitive data inside its own secure hardware.

Samsung also boasts several AI features, such as Enhanced Nightography Video, Super Steady, APV, AI ISP, Photo Assist, Creative Studio, Document Scan, Now Nudge, Now Brief, Circle to Search with Google, and Bixby.
