5 New Netflix Originals from the Philippines
Over the years, Netflix has evolved from introducing global stories to local audiences to actively supporting Filipino creators in sharing their stories with the world. As Netflix's collaboration with local creators grew, it became clearer that the audience wanted stories that move them and reflect the authentic Filipino experience, authenticity, and ambition.
Hit locally produced titles such as Doll House, Lolo and the Kid, Outside, and Kontrabida Academy showed how local stories struck a chord with Filipino audiences worldwide. To date, 32 Filipino titles have charted on Netflix's Global Top 10 Lists.
Bigger and bolder is the company's direction for Filipino viewers, and for the first time, the line-up introduces five originals, three series, and two films, a major jump that pushes genre, scale, and imagination while staying rooted in the Filipino heart.

Netflix is also introducing two series, including GMA's new 'The Master Cutter'. It will premiere three days before free-to-air TV and will star Dingdong Dantes as a former scout ranger who now lives a double life as a tailor by day and a bounty hunter by night.
ABS-CBN's Someone, Someday follows a woman scarred by her past who creates a modern dating app to help women find the right love at the right time. Through the love stories she shares with other people while navigating the challenges in her own life, she begins to rediscover what love truly means for herself. The series stars Kathryn Bernardo and James Reid in a fresh new pairing, alongside Maja Salvador.
These titles reflect the scale, range, and heart of the Filipino Storytelling while bringing together bold new ideals and familiar genres reimagined, and stories that speak to audiences at home and beyond.
