1. Revamped design - The first thing you notice about the HONOR X8d is its slim profile, despite being advertised with a huge battery capacity. Measuring just 7.5mm, it feels incredibly light in the hand yet remarkably sturdy.

The sleek body

The HONOR X8d introduces a different aesthetic from its predecessor. The brand has now shifted to a polycarbonate finish, coming from the faux leather back.

It is available in colors like Desert Gold and Meteor Silver. It’s a design that feels lighter to the eyes without losing the elegance and premiumness of last year's appearance.

2.  Brighter yet still safe OLED screen - The device features a stunning 6.77-inch AMOLED display that peaks at a staggering 3,000 nits—making it notably readable even under the harsh noon sun. 

But HONOR did not forget to take care of the user's eyes, as it still boasts 3840Hz PWM Dimming and TÜV Rheinland certification. The screen eliminates flicker and reduces blue light, protecting your vision during those late-night scrolls or marathon study sessions.

3. Upgraded with a massive battery - Compared to last year's model with 5,000mAh, the standout feature now is undoubtedly the very large 7,000mAh battery capacity. 

This translates to a 2,000mAh jump, providing users with a much longer guaranteed 3-day battery life. Whether you are a gamer, a content creator, or a traveler, the anxiety of searching for a wall outlet will be reduced on this phone.

The benchmark and long standby time

4. Energy-efficient chip - This boasts the Snapdragon 6s 4G Gen featuring a 2.9GHz clock speed and 6nm process. It is known for providing less power draw, thus extending the phone's battery life.

However, its processing power is far from the best in its price range, and it also lacks 5G connectivity.

5. Improved IP rating + drop resistance - Built to last, HONOR has always prioritized "real-world durability" with its devices.

The HONOR X8d boasts an IP65 rating, allowing the device to have some level of dust and low-pressure water jets—ideal for unexpected rain or accidental spills.

Even more impressive is its retained SGS-certified 2-meter drop resistance. This is a phone built to survive the tumbles and tosses of daily life, adding further protection together with its FREE transparent case.

6. 108MP Ultra-Clear camera - HONOR retained the 108MP sensor with a bright f/1.75 aperture for clearer and more detailed images. It can perform a 3x crop zoom without losing much detail and can push up to 8x digital zoom.

It is also paired with a 5MP ultra-wide for a wider space on your subject, but the brand could've used a higher resolution, considering its price bump.

Moreover, the X8d boasts 16MP for selfies, a huge downgrade from X8c's 50MP sensor.

7.  Quick AI access with a single tap -  Artificial Intelligence is no longer buried in sub-menus. The HONOR X8d introduces a dedicated physical AI Button, allowing users to trigger smart features instantly. 

From AI Eraser for photobomber-free pictures to real-time translation and smart scheduling, the button acts as a shortcut to a more efficient lifestyle. It’s a tactile bridge between the user and the powerful MagicOS 10 software.
