Lenovo Legion Y700 5th Gen launched: Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5, 9,000mAh battery

Lenovo introduces the Legion Y700 5th Gen gaming tablet.

The tablet's design

Upgraded chip for powerful gaming

The tablet features an 8.8-inch LCD display with 3040 x 1904 resolution at 408 PPI, 165Hz refresh rate, 2640Hz touch sampling rate, and a 480Hz multi-finger touch sampling rate. 

It offers a peak brightness of 800 nits and covers the DCI-P3 color gamut. The display utilizes 12-bit color depth achieved through FRC technology. It has received TÜV Rheinland certification for low blue light emissions and flicker-free performance.

Under the hood, the Legion Y700 5th Gen is equipped with the 4.6GHz Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 processor.

It is paired with 12GB/16GB/24GB LPDDR5T RAM and 256GB/512GB/1TB UFS 4.1 Pro storage. 

Dual USB-C ports

The device is powered by a 9,000mAh battery that supports USB-C 68W fast charging with bypass charging technology to reduce heat generation during intensive use and protect battery longevity. It also supports dual USB-C ports for landscape or portrait orientation charging, or use the other for earphones

The tablet includes an 8MP front-facing camera and a 50MP rear camera. The front camera supports facial recognition for unlocking, while the rear camera is integrated with the Legion Halo lighting design.

To manage thermal output, the Legion Y700 5th Gen utilizes a 17,353mm² vapor chamber and a central cooling architecture. 

Furthermore, the tablet is equipped with dual X-axis linear motors for haptic feedback and stereo speakers tuned with Dolby Atmos. It also supports storage expansion via a TF card up to 2TB.

The tablet operates on Android 16 and includes Lenovo’s Tianxi AI tools. These tools feature a personal AI assistant and AI PadClaw functions, designed for on-device AI processing and optimized for large-screen usage. 

The device also incorporates Super Interconnect 3.0 technology, enabling connectivity with Lenovo PCs, Motorola phones, and iPhones for real-time message syncing, file transfers, and shared controls.
