According to Sony, the device provides rich, balanced audio with DSEE upscaling and a customizable 10-band equalizer. For calls, the earbuds use AI technology and a bone conduction sensor to maintain clear voice quality.

The LinkBuds Clip aims to deliver a natural listening experience that maintains awareness of ambient sounds such as traffic, conversations, and announcements.
The open design reduces ear fatigue by improving airflow and avoiding pressure on the ear canal. The earbuds' C-shaped structure does not enter the ear canal, accommodating a range of ear shapes. Fitting cushions can be adjusted on the band for a personalized fit.
There are also three listening modes are available: Standard mode for general music listening, Voice Boost mode for amplifying voices in noisy environments, and Sound Leakage Reduction mode for quieter spaces where users may be concerned about disturbing others.

The earbuds are lightweight and designed for all-day wear. Optional fitting cushions provide a tighter fit for activities such as running. The design is inspired by ear cuffs and is available in multiple colors.
