MWC 2026: TECNO CAMON 50 launched with 50MP Sony sensor and 6,500mAh battery

Apart from the TECNO CAMON 50 Ultra, the brand also introduced the base model CAMON 50.

To recap, the device brings improved durability and water protection. It now boasts 360-degree drop resistance and has passed the Military Grade Shock Certification, as well as SGS certification.

Moreover, it comes with triple IP ratings such as IP68/69/69K, making it able to survive underwater photography over 2 meters and withstand annoying dust or dirt.

The phone also boasts a Swan Neck Curve Design for improved comfort grip when holding the device. Additionally, it is available in Moon Shadow and Black Nebula Titanium.

It also weighs lightly at 190 grams and features a thin profile of 7.38mm only.

The display

In front, the TECNO CAMON 50 uses a 6.78-inch AMOLED screen with 1.5K resolution, 144Hz refresh rate, and 2800Hz peak touch sampling rate.

Inside is the MediaTek Helio G200 Ultimate octa-core processor with Mali-G57 MC2 GPU

The chip is accompanied by a 12-layer laminated cooling system and thermal gel for sustained performance under heavy loads.

The device also boasts 8GB of RAM and 256GB of internal storage, as well as a large 6,500mAh battery with a 45W fast charger.

For cameras, the phone uses a 50MP Sony camera + an 8MP ultra-wide camera. It also has an Advanced Flash System and a Flicker Sensor.

At the front, it uses a 32MP selfie camera.

Other features are stereo speakers with Dolby Atmos sound support.

Connectivity features are WiFi, Bluetooth, GPS, NFC, an IR sensor, and a USB-C OTG.

For OS, the phone runs on HiOS 16 based on Android 16.
