Dyson HushJet Mini Cool handheld fan launched: 65,000 RPM, 6-hour battery, and USB-C

Dyson introduced its first portable fan designed for hand-held, desk, and hands-free use, called the HushJet Mini Cool fan.

The pinnacle of handheld fans?

The Dyson HushJet Mini Cool fan brings the brand's signature powerful airflow technology into a compact, personal cooling device perfect for on-the-go use.

At the heart of the new fan is Dyson's innovative HushJet nozzle, which projects air with reduced turbulence for a powerful yet surprisingly quiet experience. The bladeless design eliminates spinning blades, making it safer for everyday use, especially around children, pets, or in crowded spaces.

The ultra-slim cylindrical body measures just 38mm in diameter and weighs only 212 grams, roughly the size and weight of a small water bottle. It is available in either Ink/Cobalt, Stone/Blush, or Carnelian/Sky. 

Despite its compact form, it packs serious cooling power: up to 25 m/s (55 mph) airflow in Boost mode, thanks to a high-speed brushless motor spinning at up to 65,000 RPM.

Users can choose from five speeds plus a dedicated Boost mode for instant relief during hot commutes, workouts, or outdoor events. On top is the 360-degree twist nozzle that can be easily adjusted to the airflow direction for maximum relief.

Inside is the built-in rechargeable lithium-ion battery, which provides up to 6 hours of runtime on a single charge. It takes a full 3 hours to charge the battery via USB-C. It can operate on the lowest speed setting while charging, too.

The fan's noise levels remain low at around 52 dBA on gentler settings compared to a standard floor fan, which makes it suitable for quiet environments like libraries, meetings, or travel.
