Intel focused portable gaming

The company says the gaming device positioned as a portable alternative for users seeking PC-level gaming experiences outside of a traditional desk setup. 

The device arrives as the handheld gaming segment grows increasingly competitive, placing the Predator Atlas 8 alongside offerings from ASUS, Lenovo, and MSI.

The Predator Atlas 8 is offered in Black with subtle blue accents consistent with Acer's Predator gaming line.

It features an 8-inch WUXGA touchscreen display with a 120Hz refresh rate, variable refresh rate support, and up to 500 nits of peak brightness. The panel is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass Victus, with a Gorilla Glass DXC coating applied to reduce reflections under ambient lighting.

Inside, the handheld runs on Intel's Arc G-Series platform and can be configured with up to an Intel Arc B390 GPU. 

It supports ray tracing and Intel XeSS 3 AI-powered upscaling, which is designed to improve frame rates during graphically demanding titles. The device accommodates up to 24GB of LPDDR5X RAM and up to 1TB of PCIe Gen4 SSD storage.

On the battery side, the Predator Atlas 8 is equipped with an 80WHr cell. While the thermal management is handled by a dual-fan Predator AeroBlade cooling system, which incorporates a thin metal fan intended to improve internal airflow during sustained gaming sessions. 

Unfortunately, Charging specifications have not been disclosed at this time.

Its audio is handled by dual speakers with DTS Ultra support. There's also physical controls include Hall-effect triggers, full-size joysticks, and a dedicated PredatorSense button that provides quick access to gaming controls and performance settings.

On the connectivity front, the Predator Atlas 8 includes dual Thunderbolt 4 ports, WiFi 7, and Bluetooth 5.4. 


The handheld ships with Windows 11 and includes access to Xbox Game Pass, enabling users to play a broad library of PC titles directly on the device.

Acer has confirmed availability across North America, EMEA, and Australia beginning October 2026. Pricing has not yet been announced, and regional specifications may vary by market.
