Canon's PowerShot G7 X series stood out in the premium compact camera segment since its debut in 2014. It is designed as a serious tool for enthusiasts and content creators that bridges the gap between point-and-shoot simplicity and advanced interchangeable-lens performance. 

It features a 1-inch sensor in a pocketable body with a bright zoom lens that makes it perfect for travel, street photography, vlogging, and hybrid stills/video work.

Over the years, the G7 X lineup evolved with each Mark iteration bringing meaningful upgrades in processing power, video capabilities, and usability. The Mark III, in particular, gained popularity for its vlogging-friendly features like a flip-up touch screen, external mic input, and strong video specs. Now, to celebrate 30 years of the PowerShot lineup (which began with the original PowerShot 600 in 1996), Canon has released this special 30th Anniversary Commemorative Edition in a striking Graphite finish.

The 30th Anniversary Edition retains the compact form factor that made the G7 X series iconic while adding premium limited-edition touches. It is pocketable with dimensions measuring approximately 105.5 x 60.9 x 41.4mm and weighing 304 grams.

Aside from its Graphite body finish, it comes with a diamond-knurled front control ring, a 30th-anniversary logo, a limited edition Peak Design Cuff wrist strap, and commemorative packaging.

Other external feature inclues a 1.04 million-dot 3.0-inch tilting touch screen LCD that flips up to 180 degrees for selfies and vlogging.

Inside the camera is a 20.1MP 1-inch stacked CMOS sensor paired with Canon's DIGIC 8 image processor. Built into the body is the 24-100mm f/1.8-2.8 4.2x optical zoom lens. 

It is capable of capturing up to 30fps in RAW Burst mode, up to 4K at 30fps video, and up to 120fps slow motion. Powering the camera is the NB-13L rechargeable Li-ion battery that is rated for 235 shots. It supports USB charging, too.

Users can also plug a microphone via the 3.5mm Mic-in port.

The camera comes with built-in WiFi, Bluetooth, and USB-C connectivity.
