New appliances and brand direction
SHARP (Phils.) Corp. held its "In Step With Your Future" Media Conference and Dealers' Appreciation Night at Solaire Resort North on May 20, 2026, where it introduced new products and announced a change in its brand direction.
The event featured three booths showcasing the firm's current, new, and future product concepts. The company also revealed that "In Step With Your Future" has replaced "Be Original" as its official slogan.
Sharp Philippines President Masahiro Akiyoshi described the shift as a focus on practical relevance.
It reflects our commitment to look beyond technology and focus on real life — to understand the challenges people are facing today and to offer solutions one step ahead of time. Sharp will continue to deliver products that make everyday life better," he said. Akiyoshi also urged consumers to consider overall value when making purchasing decisions, adding, "Customers should choose value, not just price, because Sharp delivers value through health, comfort, energy savings, and enjoyment."

Future Concepts
A third booth previewed product concepts that may enter the Philippine market depending on consumer demand and market conditions, drawing from technologies exhibited at international events such as CEATEC in Japan.
SHARP has operated in the Philippines since 1982. Akiyoshi closed the event by reaffirming the company's long-term commitment to the market:
SHARP will stay one step ahead of people's needs and continue solving real-life problems, and by delivering value to our customers and working together with our dealer partners, we will grow together. All of this is not just for today—Sharp will remain 'In Step With Your Future.'
