Workato introduces PH subsidiary

This came as Workato reiterated its commitment to boosting more local enterprises, especially those targeting to embrace artificial intelligence (AI) to power their digital transformation.

The company said this move would make the Philippine market "serve not only as a key go-to-market territory, but also a base for Workato's global customer success, support, and business operations."

It particularly sees growth opportunities for the industries of financial services, business process outsourcing, retail, as well as the public sector.

The Philippines has been part of Workato's story since our earliest days, and it's now one of Southeast Asia's most compelling enterprise markets. Organizations here are ambitious and digitally forward, and as AI transformation becomes a key priority, they need infrastructure that connects their entire enterprise. Workato was built for this moment, said Vijay Tella, CEO and co-founder of Workato.

To lead its Philippines operations, Workato has appointed Tyrone Borromeo as managing director, Workato Philippines.

A Filipino native, Borromeo brings over 25 years of enterprise technology leadership to the role, with deep expertise spanning hybrid integration platforms, API management, and cloud solutions. He joins from Workato's global organization, where he most recently served as vice president of Global Solutions Consulting.

  1. From an industry perspective, this move highlights how enterprise automation platforms are becoming essential infrastructure rather than optional tools. It’s similar to how adaptive systems in environments like Idols Of Ash rely on seamless coordination to function under extreme conditions.

  2. While it's exciting to see Workato expanding in the Philippines, I wonder how this will impact local tech startups. There's a rich ecosystem that could be enhanced through partnerships rather than competition. Just like the creative expansion seen with Slope game, collaboration can lead to innovative solutions!
