Confirmed: HUAWEI MatePad Mini is coming to the Philippines

Tech giant HUAWEI silently announced on its official local webstore that the MatePad Mini is coming to the Philippines.

The new HUAWEI MatePad Mini is the company's compact tablet available in Spruce Green colorway. It measures a handy 198.59 x 127.27 mm and is just 5.1 mm thin and 206 grams light.

The mini tablet uses an 8.8-inch Flexible OLED PaperMatte Display with a 120Hz refresh rate and 2560 x 1600 resolution at 343 ppi. It has 2.99mm ultra-narrow bezels and a 92% screen-to-body aspect ratio, with 1,800 nits peak brightness.

Key features of MatePad Mini

Its PaperMatte Display features an anti‑glare coating that blocks 99% of light interference, complemented by Eye Comfort and eBook modes for a more relaxed viewing experience.

Inside, the device is powered by the Kirin 9010B hexa-core processor paired with 8GB or 12GB RAM, 256GB storage, and a 6,600mAh battery with USB Type-C 66W fast charging.

The tablet boasts up to 15 hours of video playback, according to HUAWEI.

Other features include a 50MP f/1.8 main shooter paired with an 8MP f/2.2 ultra-wide shooter and LED flash, 32MP selfie camera, side-mounted fingerprint reader, stereo speakers (HUAWEI Histen 9.5), and 2 microphones.

Connectivity features include WiFi (2.4Hz/5GHz), Bluetooth 5.2 BLE (SBC, AAC, LDAC, L2HC), and GPS, GLONASS, BeiDou, Galileo, and QZSS.

Sensors included are gravity, ambient light, hall, gyroscope, compass, and proximity.

The tablet runs on HarmonyOS 4.3 OS with AI-powered HUAWEI Notes and WPS 3.0 office.

The HUAWEI MatePad Mini is open for pre‑orders from July 1 to 6, 2026 (until 8 PM). A PHP 500 deposit secures PHP 3,000 off, plus free gifts worth PHP 19,496 and 0% installment for up to 24 months.

The official SRP is yet to be announced.
