Three iconic players for 2K27

2K has officially unveiled the cover art for NBA 2K27, naming San Antonio Spurs star Victor Wembanyama as the cover athlete for the game's Standard Edition.

Although the Spurs did not win the NBA championship this past season, selecting Wembanyama for the cover reflects his standout individual performance. He guided San Antonio to the NBA Finals in his first-ever playoff run and became the first player in league history to be named Defensive Player of the Year by unanimous vote.

2K also announced cover athletes for the game's two additional editions. WNBA guard Caitlin Clark will appear on the Deluxe Edition, while Derrick Rose—the youngest MVP in NBA history—will be featured on the Ultra Edition.

The game launches September 4 for PS5, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch 2, and PC. Those who purchase the Deluxe or Ultra Editions will gain early access beginning August 28.

Details on the bonus content for each higher-tier edition are as follows:

Deluxe Edition:

• 100,000 Virtual Currency (VC)
• MyCAREER: 25 Skill Boosts (6 types), 25 Gatorade Boosts (3 types), Wembanyama and Clark jerseys, and a 2-hour 2XP Coin
• MyTEAM: Full '27 Series 1 Team Selection, a Triple Threat Park Free Agent Pack, five '27 Series 1 packs, and a 2-hour 2XP Coin

Ultra Edition (includes everything in the Deluxe Edition, plus):

• An additional 35,000 VC
• A Season 1 Pro Pass
• A Summer Season Pass Pro Pass Bundle, covering Seasons 7–9 (releasing Summer 2027)
• An oversized "Roses" hoodie for MyCAREER
• Premium MyTEAM player cards, including a guaranteed 98-overall card (December 2026) and a guaranteed "Invincible" card (May 2027)
