After the brief teaser, nubia finally launches the largest variant of its mid-range gaming line in the Philippines.

The gaming Pad Phone you need?

The phone adopts a similar futuristic transformer-inspired design to its Neo 5 siblings. It is available in Black or Titanium Gold colorways. Meanwhile, it also has an IP64 dust and water resistance rating.

The design

The Max model's main spotlight is the MASSIVE 7.5-inch LCD (IPS) screen with 1.5K 2664 x 1280 resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate. Furthermore, it has 1000 nits peak brightness and True DC Dimming support.

nubia says this screen is 27% bigger than a traditional phone screen, while it also has an 18.7:9 aspect ratio, thus providing users with a 40 percent larger viewing experience.

The display

Furthermore, it also has SGS Certified hardware-level eye-care certification, Full-scene low blue light, and is assisted by REDMAGIC-derived software-level eye-care functions.

nubia also highlighted several uses such as landscape mode, reader mode, console, streaming, floating window, and split screen mode.

Inside, the phone is powered by a 2.4GHz 6nm MediaTek Dimensity 7100 octa-core processor paired with a Mali-G619 MC2 GPU.

The device is also equipped with 8GB of RAM along with 256GB of storage. The nubia Neo 5 Max temperature is handled with a massive 30,000mm2 VC cooling, making it significantly larger among its class. 

In terms of battery, the phone uses a large 7,100mAh capacity accompanied by a USB-C 45W fast charger. Since it's a gaming phone, nubia added a Bypass Charging feature so users can keep playing while being plugged in.

The cameras

Camera-wise it still has a 50MP main sensor on the rear + 2MP helper, while at the front, the phone has a 16MP fixed-focus sensor.

Other features mentioned are the Neo Trigger 5.0 with a 990Hz sampling rate for shooting games + a Z-axis linear motor for immersive vibration.

It also has stereo speakers with 300 percent volume and Dolby Atmos gaming sound effects to hear the accurate location of your enemies.

Connectivity features are WiFi (2.4GHz/5GHz), 5G, 4G, Bluetooth 5.2, and dual SIM.

For software, the phone runs on Android 16 with MyOS 16 skin on top. Finally, the software is aided by AI Game Space 5.0, which centralizes performance controls, while AI Copilot Demi 2.0 includes a Gaming Coach, Gaming Chatbot, and an auto-chat reply feature.
