After the teasers, the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold8 and Z Fold8 Ultra are now official in the Philippines.

The Galaxy Z Fold8 Ultra comes in Graphite, Cream and Violet Shadow, alongside an online-exclusive Green Shadow color.
Samsung says the Fold8 Ultra is its slimmest Z Fold to date, measuring 4.1mm when unfolded and weighing 215 grams, while the standard Fold8 weighs 201 grams, which the company describes as the lightest Galaxy Z Fold released so far.

Both devices incorporate Samsung's new Flex Titanium display structure, which combines a titanium-alloy film with an enhanced titanium plate.

The company also states this construction is intended to make the foldables thinner while maintaining durability, strengthening display support, absorbing impact and reducing crease visibility over time, as well as refining the hinge mechanics for a smoother unfolding motion.
Furthermore, both devices carry an IP48 water resistance rating, based on Samsung's lab testing for submersion in up to 1.5 meters of freshwater for up to 30 minutes.
The Galaxy Z Fold8 Ultra features an expansive 8.0-inch QXGA+ Dynamic AMOLED 2X main display with a resolution of 2256 x 2504 at 422 ppi, along with a 6.5-inch FHD+ cover screen at 2,520 x 1080 pixels and the same pixel density.

If you noticed, the Fold8 Ultra appears to have a significantly wider and taller size than a typical fold. This provides users with large space for multitasking or media consumption on the go.
It also has 3,000 nits peak brightness for better visibility under sunlight and an anti-reflective coating to ensure a comfortable viewing experience as well.
Meanwhile, the Galaxy Z Fold8 carries a more traditional size with its 7.6-inch QXGA+ Dynamic AMOLED 2X main display at 2,448 x 1848 pixels and 403 ppi.
The cover screen is at a smaller 5.5-inch WUXGA+ size at 1972 x 1248 and 428 ppi.
Both main and cover screens on each model support a 120Hz adaptive refresh rate for smoother animations on the screen. Similarly, it also boasts 3,000 nits of brightness and Vision Booster.

Samsung says the Fold8's display ratios were designed around common content habits: a 10:16 cover screen for quick interactions such as messaging and browsing, and a 4:3 main display suited to gaming, films and reading.
Both the Galaxy Z Fold8 and Galaxy Z Fold8 Ultra are powered by the 4.6 GHz Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 Mobile Platform for Galaxy.
Memory and storage configurations are identical across both models, featuring 12GB/16GB RAM and 256GB/512GB/1TB storage options.
The Galaxy Z Fold8 Ultra houses a larger 5,000mAh dual battery, while the Galaxy Z Fold8 carries a 4,800mAh dual battery.
Both devices support wired charging with a 45W adapter, with Samsung citing roughly 67 percent charge in about 30 minutes for the Fold8 Ultra and 63 percent for the Fold8 under the same conditions.
Both models also support 20W fast wireless charging and Wireless PowerShare. The Fold8 Ultra additionally introduces a new dual-path charging architecture that Samsung says distributes power more efficiently across the battery system.
The Galaxy Z Fold8 Ultra is equipped with a 200MP wide-angle camera w/ Quad Pixel AF, OIS + 50MP ultra-wide camera + 10MP telephoto camera offering 3x optical zoom.
It also supports 8K video recording through a new APV codec and includes Cine LUT for on-device color grading, along with an enhanced Nightography feature for low-light capture.

The Galaxy Z Fold8 uses a rear dual-camera setup with a 50MP wide-angle camera and an OIS + 50MP ultra-wide camera.
Both devices include a 10MP cover camera and a 10MP main interior camera.
The Fold8 also introduces a Dual Recording mode that allows simultaneous capture from both the cover and main cameras, along with a My FanCam feature that automatically tracks a subject and reframes footage for social media formats.
The rest of the specs
The Fold8 Ultra includes an expanded graphite cooling structure that Samsung says improves thermal conductivity to help the device stay responsive during demanding tasks.
Samsung is also introducing Galaxy AI features across the lineup, including Now Brief, which surfaces personalized insights and now includes security and privacy alerts, and Now Nudge, which suggests next steps based on ongoing conversations.

Security is handled through Samsung Knox, with additional protections from Knox Enhanced Encrypted Protection and Knox Vault for sensitive data, and a new AI Assistant Activity dashboard in One UI 9 that gives users a centralized view of AI automations running on the device.
Both the Galaxy Z Fold8 and Galaxy Z Fold8 Ultra support WiFi 7 (2.4GHz/5GHz/6GHz), 5G, LTE, and Bluetooth 6.0, GPS, NFC, and dual SIM.
The updated Smart Switch feature allows iOS users to transfer data wirelessly by scanning a QR code, including passwords, passkeys, call history, and eSIM data, while Quick Share now offers two-way compatibility with Apple's AirDrop.
Both devices ship with Android 17 and Samsung's One UI 9 software on top.
