Samsung confirms Galaxy S26 FE launch event for August 27

Affordable S26 launching soon
Samsung will unveil a new Galaxy S26 series device on Thursday, August 27, at its "Galaxy Event August 2026," livestreamed on Samsung.com and YouTube starting at 12pm UTC.
Although Samsung has not confirmed the model name, the device is widely expected to be the Galaxy S26 FE. No official specifications have been released.
A leaked EPREL label indicates an A rating for energy efficiency, an A for drop resistance, and a C for repairability.
The battery is rated for 1,200 charge cycles with up to 50 hours of use per charge, compared to 2,000 cycles and 42 hours 37 minutes on the S25 FE. The phone is rated IP68 for dust and water resistance.
These figures remain unofficial. The most significant expected change is an upgrade to the Exynos 2500 chipset, a detail largely corroborated by Google Play Console listings. Additional leaked specifications and images have also surfaced online.
