Filipinos are increasingly finding connection through gaming, technology, and creator culture. Smart Communications, Inc. (Smart) said it continues to support events that inspire innovation, digital engagement, and meaningful connections across the country, including SM Supermalls' Tech & Play Month 2026.

Smart said subscribers can access their digital activities through its 5G network, which supports streaming, gaming, and video services.

This year's lineup includes SM Geek Fest, which features cosplay, collectibles, trading card games, merchandise, and fan communities, along with SM Super Play Con, a gaming convention that includes esports tournaments, gaming demos, creator engagements, and technology exhibits. The campaign also includes gadget discovery zones, creator-focused activities, and technology showcases.

Smart stated that the partnership reflects both companies' focus on engaging Gen Z and millennial audiences, who organizers say increasingly seek experiential and community-centered activities. Smart also mentioned that it aims to support such platforms through its 4G LTE and 5G mobile network as part of its broader effort to reach SM's customers nationwide.
