DICT: Globe's network posts strongest 2026 performance in August

The Department of Information and Communications Technology (DICT) revealed that Globe posted its strongest network performance so far this year in August.

Globe is improving!

DICT's latest "Telco Report Card" claimed that Globe received an overall score of 81.5, up 4.4 points from January, while average download speed reached a 2026 high of 45.9 Mbps.

In comparison, this was 5.1% faster than July and 26% higher than the 36.5 Mbps recorded at the start of the year. Its network quality also improved to 71.2 from 69.2, while latency held steady at 20 milliseconds.

These improvements build on Globe's continued infrastructure spending and partnership with the NTC, aimed at delivering more reliable connectivity nationwide.

Customers need a network they can depend on every day, and that goes beyond speed. It means being able to stay connected consistently, including during periods of high demand, disruptions and emergencies, said Atty. Froilan Castelo, Globe General Counsel. The progress we are seeing shows that our investments are making a difference, but there are still communities where the experience needs to be better. That is where we need to keep pushing.

DICT's telco report contradicts the National Telecommunications Commission's (NTC) recent findings that mobile broadband signals remain unchanged in the Philippines, which led to telcos being fined PHP 100,000 per day.
