Flagship foldable HONOR Magic V6 now available in PH stores for PHP 119,990

To recap, the HONOR Magic V6 is dubbed the most durable foldable today. It is the first in the category to carry both IP68 and IP69 ingress protection ratings.

The device uses the company's proprietary Super Steel Hinge tech, the strongest commercially available steel, and is said to withstand up to 500,000 folds based on HONOR's internal testing.

It is also the slimmest foldable phone in the world at just 8.75mm when folded and 4mm when unfolded.

The cameras

The highlight is its folding 7.95-inch LTPO 2.0 AMOLED panel with a variable refresh rate of 1Hz to 120Hz and 2352 x 2172 resolution.

According to the company, this panel uses reinforced ultra-thin glass and has reduced crease depth by 44 percent compared to earlier generations and comes with a new anti-reflection layer intended to improve visibility outdoors; peak local brightness reaches 5,000 nits.

When folded, it transforms into a regular slab phone form factor with a 6.52-inch cover screen that uses the same LTPO 2.0 technology, 1-120Hz refresh range, FHD+ resolution, and peak local brightness of up to 6,000 nits.

Both displays support stylus input and include 20MP selfie cameras.

Inside, it has Qualcomm's 3nm Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5, paired with 16GB of LPDDR5X RAM, 512GB of UFS 4.1 storage, and a 6,660mAh battery using silicon-carbon cell technology.

For charging, it comes with Type-C 80W wired fast charging, 66W wireless charging, and reverse wireless charging.

In the camera department, the device uses a 50MP f/1.6 shooter with OIS, a 50MP ultra-wide, and a 64MP 1/2-inch sensor w/ 3x optical zoom.

HONOR Connect now syncs notifications with iPhones, iPads, and Apple Watches, while Mac users can share files and use the Magic V6 as a secondary display.

The Magic V6 ships with MagicOS 10, built on Android 16. HONOR has committed to providing seven major Android version upgrades for the device.
