Toughest fold to beat in 2026
HONOR has unveiled the Magic V6, a foldable smartphone the company describes as its most durable model to date and the first in the category to carry both IP68 and IP69 ingress protection ratings.

The device is built around what HONOR calls a Super Steel Hinge, made from what the company describes as the strongest commercially available steel, and said to withstand up to 500,000 folds based on internal testing.

Despite the added durability measures, the phone retains a slim form factor, measuring 8.75mm thick when folded—comparable to the iPhone 17 Pro Max—and just 4mm when unfolded. The white color variant weighs 219 grams.

The main display is a 7.95-inch LTPO 2.0 AMOLED panel with 2K resolution (2352 x 2172) and a variable refresh rate of 1Hz to 120Hz.
HONOR says the panel uses reinforced ultra-thin glass and has reduced crease depth by 44 percent compared to earlier generations, while a new anti-reflection layer is intended to improve visibility outdoors; peak local brightness reaches 5,000 nits.
The 6.52-inch cover screen uses the same LTPO 2.0 technology, offering FHD+ resolution, a 1-120Hz refresh range, and peak local brightness of up to 6,000 nits. Both displays support stylus input and include 20MP selfie cameras.

Powering the device is Qualcomm's Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5, paired with 16GB of LPDDR5X RAM and 512GB of UFS 4.1 storage.
Battery capacity comes in at 6,660mAh using silicon-carbon cell technology, a notable figure given the phone's thin profile. Charging support includes 80W wired fast charging, 66W wireless charging, and reverse wireless charging.
On the camera front, the Magic V6 features a triple-lens rear system.
The main sensor is a 50MP unit with an f/1.6 aperture and optical image stabilization, 50MP ultra-wide + a 64MP periscope telephoto lens with a 70mm equivalent focal length, a 1/2-inch sensor, and 3x optical zoom.
HONOR has also expanded cross-platform functionality with Apple devices through its HONOR Connect service, which now supports two-way notification syncing between the Magic V6 and iPhones, iPads, and Apple Watches. Mac users, meanwhile, can share files with the device and use its main display as a secondary screen.
The Magic V6 ships with MagicOS 10, built on Android 16, and HONOR has committed to providing seven major Android version upgrades for the device.
