Tech giant HUAWEI earlier launched the new Kirin 9050 Pro. According to the company, it is their most powerful mobile chipset yet.

Built on the LogicFolding architecture, Kirin 9050 Pro packs the new LinxiCore CPU with simultaneous multi‑threading, delivering up to 24% higher single‑core speed and 52% stronger multi‑core performance.


Its redesigned architecture features a 9-core design with 3.1GHz 1 prime core and 2 performance cores for heavy workloads, 4 efficiency cores for multitasking, and 2 lightweight cores for everyday use.

Thanks to this setup, the device loads files up to 50% faster than the Kirin 9030 Pro.


It also has an upgraded Maleoon GPU with up to 50 MRPS real‑time ray tracing and a 142% boost in rendering performance, plus a new Da Vinci Architecture NPU. This introduces the industry's first on‑device MOE LLM deployment with 30 billion total parameters and 2 billion active parameters. Running on the Pangu Large Language Model (30B‑A2B), it supports smart file management features across the system.

In addition, it comes with the new Balong modem w/ improved ground 5G access and a 42% better satellite paging success rate, with 40% faster connection speeds as well as dual‑chip security with Post‑Quantum and EAL5+ CCRP certifications, and a rapid heat dissipation cooling system to sustain peak performance.

The chip is found on the new HUAWEI Mate XT 2 tri-fold smartphone. Likely, HUAWEI will also use this in their other future high-end mobile devices like the Mate 90 Series.
