MWC 2017: BlackBerry KEYone With QWERTY Keyboard Announced!

After showing off the "Mercury" last CES 2017, the company has finally announced the mysterious device at MWC 2017. Dubbed as the KEYone, a modern BlackBerry handset running on Android 7.1 Nougat OS w/ throwback QWERTY physical keyboard.

The specs is what we normally see from the midrangers of 2017. The handset sports  a 4.5 inch 2.5D screen w/ 1620 x 1080 resolution on a 3:2 aspect ratio at 434 pixels per inch which should be outstanding for reading.

Under the hood, this machine is packed with Qualcomm's Snapdragon 625 octa core processor running at 2.0 GHz and paired with Adreno 506 gaming capable graphics. It has 3 GB RAM, 32 GB expandable up to 2 TB storage, and 3,505 mAh of battery w/ Quick Charge 3.0 support. BlackBerry also claimed that it can be charged in just 36 mins!

Then the device has a 12 MP f/2.0 Sony IMX378 w/ PDAF and dual tone LED flash and an 8 MP front facing camera. It has WiFi, LTE, Bluetooth 4.2, NFC, FM Radio, fingerprint scanner, and gyroscope sensor.

The KEYOne will be available in the market by April of 2017 with a USD 549 price tag (around PHP 28K) when directly converted to Philippine Peso. There's no word of local availability though. The price is very steep for the specs as well.
