It is a three-day event with the theme of "Connecting the business, policy and technology of fiber to everywhere" which focuses on deploying deep fiber to network edge.

The FTTH the sessions and panels will address the socioeconomic benefits of deep fiber and provide a platform for sharing technologies and strategies that have produced real success.

We are very excited to bring this year’s conference to the Philippines, said FTTH Council Asia-Pacific President Wataru Katsurashima. Recent announcements have made the Philippines one of Asia-Pacific's most exciting telecom markets. This is the perfect time to visit the country and gain a first-hand understanding of the partnership, investment and innovation opportunities.

The PLDT and Smart SVP and Head of Consumer Business Market Development Oscar A. Reyes, Jr. addressed the Philippines Telecommunications Leadership Panel where they discussed how can deep fiber network transform the information and communication services landscape in the country.

The Asia Pacific market, especially the Philippines, will play a crucial role in the region’s dynamic telecoms sector and this is an exciting time for us as we continue to innovate and evolve,” Reyes noted. “PLDT has been at the forefront of the FTTH rollout nationwide – enhancing the digital lifestyles of Filipino families and driving the growth of local enterprises that fuel the country’s economic performance.

The event will be attended by over 600 senior executives from the region's top operators, solutions providers and vendors.

In case you missed it, the FTTH Council Asia-Pacific was established in 2005 with a mission to "accelerate the adoption of optical fiber access"" by all consumers and organizations.
