The new VivoWatch BP us a portable and wearable version of the typical bulky blood pressure monitors. Omron is a brand that is known for blood pressure monitors and they also made a wearable one but not as compact and sleek as the VivoWatch BP.

The technology used by ASUS is a combination of electrocardiogram and photoplethysmography sensors that can accurately read and monitor a wearer's blood pressure and heart rate. It is a bit bulkier that most of the available smartwatches or fitness trackers but it is the most compact blood pressure monitor to date.

To measure your BP, you have to press your finger against the PPG sensor at the top and hold it in place for around 15-20 seconds. After that, you will get your results. It is a simple process that can be done quickly.

Aside from blood pressure, the VivoWatch BP can also do the usual tasks a health tracker does like monitoring your heart rate, sleep patterns and activities. It is going to be working with a partner app called HealthAI. ASUS also promises up to 28 days of battery life.

The VivoWatch BP is going to be priced at USD 169. Dates of release vary per region as it is slated for a July 2018 release in Taiwan and an August 2018 release in Europe. U.S.A and other region availability is yet to be announced.
