Based on a report from the The Bell, the Galaxy S10 will be the Samsung smartphone in the world that will feature an In-Display fingerprint scanning tech. Aside from that, it will also come with a 3D face scanning tech instead of the usual Iris Scanner + Face Unlock for facial recognition and improve the AR Emoji feature.

If Samsung can make the 3D face scanner work, there is no need for the iris scanner anymore. It could make Samsung save cost and weight as well.

Vivo is the first smartphone maker in the In-Display fingerprint scanning solution when they launched the X21 earlier this year. But, it doesn't have a 3D face scanning tech.

On the other hand, the iPhone X is the first to have the 3D face canning tech. But, it doesn't have In-Display fingerprint scanning tech.

It simply means that Samsung will have two of the most modern way of unlocking smart devices.

The report also noted that the Galaxy S10 will come with a 5.8-inch and 6.3-inch models.
