Based in Counterpoint's Market Pulse April Edition, the best selling smartphones in the world are Samsung's Galaxy S9 and S9+ flagship duo!

The other devices included in the top 10 in particular order are the iPhone X, iPhone 8 Plus, Redmi 5A, iPhone 6, Redmi 5 Plus/Note 5, iPhone 7, and Galaxy S8.

Galaxy S9 series

The Galaxy S9 and S9+ got 2.6 percent of the market share each. Followed by Apple's iPhone X with 2.3 percent.

Interestingly, Samsung was able to outsold Xiaomi's budget Redmi 5A despite its premium price.

Most likely, it is due to Samsung's reputation, great design, flagship grade specs, and innovative dual aperture camera function.

Here in the Philippines the price of the Samsung Galaxy S9 is PHP 45,990.

On the other hand, the higher-end Galaxy S9+ with bigger screen and dual cameras goes with a starting price of PHP 45,990.
