We have always been asked about the difference between the MIUI Global ROM and Chinese ROM. So now, we've come up with an article that'll explain the features of these two MIUI ROM variants.

But let's first describe the Chinese ROM. It is particularly developed for China that are full of Chinese apps and language. It has no Google Play Store nor Google Framework. China ROM has also more updated features than the Global ROM. Lastly, it supports all the network bands in China.

On the other hand, the Global ROM is developed for the international users. It was developed with multiple languages available, has no Chinese apps but has FULL Google apps support. And it supports the network bands for other countries.

Global ROM vs. Chinese ROM MIUI differences

1. The Global ROM is made for international users without the Chinese language and the Chinese ROM for China. But you can still use the Chinese ROM even if you do not live in China. But some apps on the Chinese ROM will be useless if you're using the Chinese ROM phone outside China.

2. If you're using the Chinese ROM, you have to download the Google installer to download the Google apps. As for the Global ROM, it has built-in Google apps so the users does not need to download the Google installer.

3. Global ROM has Google Play Store while the Chinese ROM has its own different app store that offers as much as variety of apps the Google Play Store offers.

4. Xiaomi is a Chinese product as well as the MIUI skin. It's an advantage for the Chinese ROM since it gets the updates first before the Global ROM gets it.

5. Chinese ROM has the option of font style setting while the Global ROM don't have that option.

6. Xiaomi requires Chinese ROM users Mi credits to purchase phone themes, while it is all FREE for the Global ROM.

7. The Chinese ROM keyboard has issues but you can have it fixed by downloading other keyboards from the Google Play Store.

8. Users of the Chinese ROM have proven that they have battery battery performance than the Global ROM.

9. The Chinese ROM has also a built-in feature to ROOT the device.

Overall, the Global ROM and Chinese ROM has its own unique features made for its target market. The two may have difference but the other one does not mean it is more capable and better than the other.
