OPPO Philippines sticks with #JoshLia for the upcoming F9

Earlier, Mark Macanas of TechPinas and I spotted an electronic standee of the upcoming OPPO F9 at SM Megamall. It confirmed the official design of the phone and some of its key features.

It also revealed that OPPO sticks with the #JoshLia tandem of Joshua Garcia and Julia Barretto to be the face of the upcoming device in the Philippines.

A look at the back of the F9

Previously, OPPO also tapped #JoshLia for the F7.

Based on the electronic standee, OPPO retained the glass-like material at the back of the phone just like its predecessor, the OPPO F7.

But, it now has a curvier look and a sleek looking gradient color from either light red to dark red or light blue to dark blue.

It also has the elongated fingerprint sensor found in the upper middle portion at the back of the phone.

The image we saw also showed that the F9 will have a dual camera setup. Last time, the OPPO F7 only has a single camera setup.

OPPO also teased that like the upcoming F9 Pro, the F9 will also come with the VOOC fast charging solution.

VOOC can give up to 2 hours of talk time by charging the phone in 5 minutes.

Recently, OPPO also teased that the F9 will arrive with the "waterdrop" design in front. It will come with a near bezel-less screen with a tinier notch than the F7.

According to dealers at SM Megamall, OPPO will launch the F9 in two weeks.
