Based on his social media post, supported Pixel and Nexus devices may the first to receive the update.

Google in May unveiled this plan at its yearly Google I/O conference, and after months of developing, the technology world had a peek of what end-users can get from installing Android P.

Industry sources said users can expect new look, more features in the notification corner, the first official dark mode, lockdown mode for security, new swipe gestures, to name a few.

Sources are also debating about what could the P stands for. Google has been known for using candies or sweets as the name of its new version of Android. For an instance, its recent version was called Oreo. Before there were Marshmallow, Nougat and Lollipop.

Are you excited? Can you guys guess what the P stands for? Leave your thoughts in the comments!
