Smart WiFi is now available in over 100 school areas nationwide!

Smart Communications Inc., has announced that they increased Smart WiFi rollouts n over 100 school areas nationwide.

It is to provide students across the country with the benefits of the internet as a learning and communications tool.

As a member of World Broadband Alliance (WBA), Smart stated that they have endeavored to give a greater majority access to seamless connectivity with the use of the Smart WiFi service.

As we continue to lead the country’s transformation into a smart nation, we at PLDT believe in equipping the youth with the means to enrich their knowledge and help them excel in any field they choose to pursue, adds SVP and Head of PLDT & Smart Enterprise Business Groups Jovy Hernandez. 

In Metro Manila, the service is available to students of University of the Philippines - Diliman, De La Salle University-Manila, Pamantasan ng Lungsod ng Maynila, and Pamantasan ng Lungsod ng Muntinlupa, Emilio Aguinaldo College, Adamson University, Navotas Polytechnic College, and San Sebastian College.

Outside of Metro Manila, the universities included are Ateneo de Naga, University of Cebu, University of Mindanao, University of Bohol, Tarlac Agricultural University, and Letran Calamba, among others.

With the use of this service, students can get access through their email and social media accounts. They can also enjoy easier downloading and uploading of files which they can use for their research and more.

Smart WiFi Ads

Smart WiFi in universities also has the Smart WiFi Ads. It is a customized and targeted marketing solution where businesses can directly reach and engage with customers.

The WiFi service has up to 100 Mbps per second speed. But, in our experience, there are even places where you can experience up to 200 Mbps of speed. It is around 3x faster than the similar service of the competitor.

There are different kinds of Smart WiFi Ads. The banner or interstitial ads combine the clickable material along with the access to brand’s website, a promo page with triggered SMS-which sends an SMS to the user’s mobile number once the ad is clicked. It also features a sponsored access that grants customers a free WiFi usage upon watch a non-skippable video or answer a survey. Lastly, it has a WiFi rental providing advertisers with a branded SSID and landing page.

The Smart WiFi gives FREE 30-minute access to anyone. All you need to do is enter a PIN, watch a video, or answer a survey.
