Huawei just announced that the EMUI 9.0 skin based on Android Pie is now available for the Mate 10 and P20 series in the Philippines.

The exact phones who will get the EMUI 9.0 update are the Mate 10 (ALP-L29), Mate 10 Pro (BLA-L29), P20 (Emily-L29C), and P20 Pro (CLT-L29C).

The EMUI 9.0 update brings the latest Android 9.0 OS to the above-mentioned Huawei smartphones. Android 9.0 comes with a lot of optimizations, security updates, and new features for improved overall performance coming from Android Oreo.
The EMUI 9.0 skin also features UI design changes, support for gestures for shortcuts, AI-assisted optimizations to keep your phone fast always, improved AI recognition/translation with HiVision, a lot of security features, and more!
How to update?
1. Connect to the internet (WiFi preferably)
2. Ensure that you have more than 50 percent of battery capacity
3. Use the HiCare app
4. Register
5. Click update and request update
6. Press apply and checking for new system update will appear
7. Download and install

Just note that your phone may restart for several times. There are also occasions where the update notification will automatically pop-up. It will be easier for you to update if that is the case.
According to Huawei, under normal circumstances, you will receive the Android 9.0/EMUI 9.0/ Android P version within two hours.
However, due to the large number of applicants, the system will have a little bit of delay to send the version timely.
