Back in MWC 2017, OPPO introduced the world's first dual-camera system with a 5x lossless zoom technology with the help of a periscope-style lens array. However, they never really released the said innovation on an actual smartphone.

Leaked camera design patent of the phone with 10x zoom |
According to leaked sketches, the handset that will feature this tech comes with a full-screen design with a triple-camera setup at the back. There's another sketch showing a dual-camera configuration only.
Earlier design drafts and leaks also showed that the phone will have a periscope structure to divert light 90-degrees through prism into a telephoto lens. It also revealed triple rear setup for the smartphone.
Both of those camera phone designs are expected to produce up to 10x lossless zoom. There are rumors that it will be a purely optical zoom, but we won't be surprised if it will follow Huawei's path by using the hybrid zoom (digital + optical) solution aided by AI.
If OPPO can pull it off, then we could have a new zoom king.
We will update you guys on Wednesday!
