A few days ahead of MWC 2019, Samsung unleashed two new Android tablets, the Galaxy Tab S5e and the Tab A 10.1.

Galaxy Tab S5e key specs and highlights

The Galaxy Tab S5e features a sleek looking metal body with a 10.5-inch 16:10 Super AMOLED screen with crisp 2560 x 1600 resolution that has thin looking bezels.


Under the hood, it runs with the Snapdragon 670 SoC with 4GB/6GB RAM and 64GB/128GB expandable storage with microSD up to 512GB.

Powering the Tab S5e is a 7,040mAh battery. Samsung claimed that its battery is good for over 14 hours of video watching. It also has a fast charging support via USB-C.

There's also an 13MP main camera and an 8MP selfie shooter. 

It also has an optional Book cover Keyboard that you can use with DeX for a laptop-like mode. Sadly, there's no stylus support. There's no 3.5mm headphone jack slot though.

On the positive side, there are far-field microphones that so that Bixby can hear your better. Samsung also noted that the Tab S5e syncs with your phone to allow you answer calls and reply to SMS straight from the tablet.

The tablet runs with Android 9.0 Pie OS with the new One UI skin.

The tablet is super slim at just 5.5 mm. It weighs at 400 grams. It comes in black, silver, and gold colors.

Galaxy Tab A 10.1 specs and highlights

Galaxy Tab A 10.1 comes with a 10.1-inch FHD screen with 1920 x 1200 resolution. Under the hood, it is powered by the Exynos 7904 with 2GB RAM and 32GB expandable storage.

Samsung Galaxy Tab A 10.1 comes with a 6,150mAh battery with USB-C charging. It also features a Dolby Atmos speakers. The tablet is 7.5 mm slim.

Price and availability

Samsung Galaxy Tab S5e will be available starting March 14 for EUR 419 or around PHP 24.7K. The 4G LTE variant is priced at EUR 479 or around PHP 28.3K.

Samsung Galaxy Tab A 10.1 us priced at EUR 210 or around PHP 12.4K.
