On Facebook, Xiang Wang, the Vice President of Xiaomi confirmed that the upcoming Mi 9 flagship smartphone will be powered by the Snapdragon 855 SoC solution.

The fastest smartphone yet?
To recall, Qualcomm's Snapdragon 855 is a 7nm based chipset with 1x big 1.84GHz prime core, 3x 2.4GHz performance cores, and 4x efficiency cores. Its Kyro 485 promises 45 percent increase in performance versus the previous gen cores.

The result? Xiaomi recorded a jaw-dropping score of 387,851 in Xiaomi's own AnTuTu test. It is higher than the usual over 360K score of the Snapdragon 855 on other devices and the iPhone XS with A12 Bionic chip.
Mi 9's AnTuTu benchmark score is also ahead of the entire Mate 20 family by Huawei.
